Koh Samui to Krabi on Two Wheels

We're staring a weeklong bike ride on the backroads of southern Thailand, ending in the beachy area of Krabi on the Andaman Coast.
Our guide Tick (below) invented the route and this is only the third trip they've run it. We'll be joined by a journalist from Austrailia and a photographer from Japan.
It's 400km total (250 miles) and I'll probably be the best athlete.Above is  a look at the path and below is the itinerary.
Itinerary
1
Surat Thani 15km
We take a short early evening ride through the back streets of Surat Thani to explore this less known southern town that is one of the larger ones of the gulf side of the peninsula. After dinner, we take a boat trip to view the fireflies.
2
Surat Thani to Ratchaprapa Dam 84km
An enjoyable and lightly challenging ride takes us up to the base of Ratchaprapa Dam, one of the key dams of the Thai water supply. Khao Sok National Park borders the dam, and means that this is a popular location for Thais and foreigners alike.
3
Ratchaprapa Dam to Khao Sok 72km
Depart from the Ratchaprapa Dam and ride through rubber plantations, forests and limestone karsts bordering Khao Sok National park, today will be a little more challenging as we begin to cross the low range to the other side of the peninsula. Tonight we will stay in the jungles of Khao Sok in a tree house or riverside bungalow.
4
Khao Sok to Khao Lak 76km
Leaving the forests and hills of Khao Sok, we'll cycle up and then down on the easy roads along the Andaman Coast to spend two leisurely nights in Khao Lak. Khao Lak is one Thailand’s quieter beach destinations. No red lights or beach parties here, just laid back sunny days.
5
Khao Lak Free Day at the Beach
This is a day to enjoy the sandy beaches of the Andaman Coast.
6
Khao Lak to Phang Nga 75km
Pedaling away from Kao Lak we will ride through rolling hills on rural concrete roads passing through forest, orchards, and rubber plantations. The days’ ride will end at a forest temple for a walk through the forest and visit to a hermit's cave. From here, we will drive to the shoreside to visit a Muslim fishing village and to learn about the traditional life of Thai fisherfolk.
7
Phang Nga to Krabi 70km
Our final day on the bike takes us through mostly inland territory again, but with a wide range of rural scenes and lovely landscapes. We finish our ride on Ao Nang, Krabi.
